PC Power&Cooling Silencer MKIII 500W PSU user review
Pros: Modular, white finish, reversible
Cons: none
This PSU is a great budget purchase. I desired a white finish to match my Phantom 410 white, and desired modular since I was going to be doing my own sleeving. PC Power & Cooling (under OCZ) released these PSU's in a variety of wattages so you can get just what you need. I got my 500w on sale from NCIX.ca for 59.99 and it was a great deal. Would suggest this PSU to anyone, and would purchase it again.
On a more detail specific note, the PSU itself is reversible, as in it can intake from the bottom side of the case if your case allows for it or it can intake from the top within the case while the logo sticker on each side will maintain upright. This is a nice feature because some new cases allow the PSU to intake from the bottom which would cause the PSU to appear "upside down". Also, the hole for the permanently connected cables (24 pin etc.) has a plastic cover you can remove allowing you to fit the cables after sleeving without having to cut the housing of the PSU. Great little details for us who like to make things even more personalized
