Pros: Bundled with phanteks cases, stylish, has no RPM spikes
Cons: Bundled with phanteks cases, Constant noisy growl on his entire rpm range, not efficient at a bearable noise state (lowest speed)
Here i am, ready to turn my case on for the first time, hoping the only noise i will here will be the slight woosh produced by the front 200mm, i press the button and wait...it takes me about 10 seconds to realise the truck motor noise i hear does not come from the window but from my case !
The v8-like growling from the bearing is unbearable (he he) and i immediately restart the pc hoping i can silence the litteral growling beast.
Even with the lowest RPM the noise is still very present, and makes other sounds blend inside it and not the other way around.
I decide to zip tie the fan as exhaust directly over the cpu and i am merely satisfied to hear a tiny difference in sound pressure.
I have kept the fan running like this until yesterday (2 months), where i simply pulled the plug on this neverending growling 'beast'.
TL:DR : noisy growly fan, phanteks pls replace with 140mm, do not separately buy. IMO case manufacturers should only provide fans that can adapt to the user needs (in this case, a quiet fan at lower/est RPMs, the airflow would have been limited, but at least i would have a running fan at the time i'm typing this.)
Even if you can bear the noise, i know there are better options to have a maximal airflow.
