Poseidon Z RGB Blue Switch KB-PZR-KLBRUS-01
Description:
I have been looking for a keyboard for my recent MITX build and came across this "Poseidon Z RGB Blue Switch". I have never owned a mechanical keyboard before. This being my first, I am in no way an expert on mechanical keyboards but I know I enjoy typing on this one. First and foremost what made me pick up this keyboard is price, feel, and simplicity.
Price : $99
Feel : Solid weight under the keyboard, and the Blue Switch keys give a nice firm response. The click response sound is very satisfying but I can see it becoming an issue for my girlfriend who likes her sleep more than me. The blue switch may not be the best for gaming but for typing I must say that it is pretty awesome. The response does seem to be a bit different when I begin to type faster. The key travel seems a bit long which is something that I will have to get used too. But the overall feel is solid.
Simplicity : The design is simply slick and quiet. There aren't any fancy layouts or crazy designs. I guess the slickest design would be in the lighting of the keyboards. With the software you have control over 16.8 million colors, with lighting responses such as wave, arrow, ripple, reactive, fully lighted, pulse, and spectrum running.
In summary I recommend this keyboard for anyone looking to get into the mechanical keyboard scene. And if you are looking to replace an old one, give this one a hard look cause it may surprise you.
