Pros: Great keyboard for gaming

Cons: no back lighting, but not a con. I knew what I was buying.

If you are thinking about buying this keyboard and know what you want, buy it. Has an optional gaming mode to turn off the windows key(every board should have this!). Non-glossy matte finish unlike the older BlackWidow. And uses Cherry MX Brown switches for a quieter keystroke. Macro keys might be a bit close but can be removed. The selling point was no back lighting. For an additional 50$ you can get the back-lit one. Would've been a plus but for 79$ +shipping it couldn't be beat. Too sum everything up, This is the best keyboard I've owned so far. I didn't bother with the Logitechs and went straight for the best. Price to performance cannot be beaten. Razer has great customer support and their products are even better. I use a DeathAdder BA and this keyboard goes perfectly well with that. If you are a gamer, BUY IT.

would rep if i could, i heard about razer using diff. switches in the stealth editions, but never was able to confirm it.
It's all good. Information is here to help you.
I've read alot (almost everywhere) that after just a short while the keys start to get very worn, now that wouldn't surprise me as almost all the paint on my Lycosa is gone after around 8 months of light gaming -__-
I think the normal ones have Blues and the "Stealth" ones have Browns.
You can't compare a regular keyboard to a mechanical keyboard. Of course anything gets worn out. It is all a matter of how you take care of your stuff. And the Lycosa is a gaming keyboard yes, but what are the main features of it? back-lighting? The mechanical counter-part is designed for gaming. Best keyboard I've owned so far and is very solid. Key caps are easily replaceable. But I know what you mean. I had to replace my DeathAdder mouse feet in about 1 week lol
I've never owned a Lycosa, but I wouldn't buy a non-mechanical keyboard for 80$. For the same price you could've got the BlackWidow Stealth Edition?
Ultimate's have Blue's I got a BF3 collectors edition myself and including shipping $180 lighter
Also note the Stealth Edition does not have the USB and audio hub ports. Those are only on the Ultimate Edition. Not really a con since they put the hubs on right side of the board.
