Bought the 1st one un-lit to see what I thought of Mech Keyboards after seeing all the nerds rave about them here in OCN. Wow!
OK I get it now. You do gain an accuracy because the mind knows when key hits are accurate, so your effectiveness increases.
Get the ones with lit-up keys. They're awesome as it gets dark out and do not require you to light up the room as much. I bought them for everyone at work. And the GF at home. And there's a spare at home, too...
Pros
Cons
Mmmmm, typing precision goodliness
water-fall of kalckity sounds of typing, having to upgrade all your keyboards
I like the idea of customizable keys/lcd keyboard, but I think I've realized that we're just not going to see a company produce a mech. board with an LCD screen as well. Let me qualify my last statement as I'm sure MANY people are going to complain about how LCD is gimmicky...I have had my G15 for something like 7ish years and an lcd readout is not gimmicky, it's a convenience.
I have 2 monitors and it's just nice to have an extra, small screen that shows game scores, cpu/mem/net usage (lcdsirreal's app for the g15 is phenomenal), and other quickly accessible information at the quick press of one media button on the keyboard instead of having to open up a new application.
Anyway, on to the reason I'm writing here: no retailers carry the board. The only place the MX brown version can be bought is the razer store. All the links I have found so far are links to the ultimate with no stealth (ie. they're the ones with the MX blues). The stealth is MX browns and the actuation force that you should see in advertising should be 45g. Just be aware of that fact and be careful when trying to purchase it.
P.S.: if anyone does find a current link to the 2013 ultimate stealth, I would be appreciative if you would post it here or send me a PM. The 2012 stealth (if it even exists would be better as the LEDs are blue, and that matches my lighting schema, but beggars can't be choosers, right?).
Pros
Cons
led backlit keys, 10-key rollover, cherry mx brown keys, quieter than the regular ultimate, less actuation force
no retailers have this item yet (only available in razerzone store), lcd screen built in
You don't seem to imply in any sentence that you actually USED or have the product yourself. Do you?
