Awesome Entry Level Gaming Headphones

review by logicpwn

I got these on sale for $50 dollars at BestBuy while they are normally around $80. I would have even been fine if I had paid $80 to be honest. These headphones are extremely comfortable and lightweight. The mic seems to not want to bend even though it has one spot on it that allows it to bend. Even though I have had great feedback on Mic clarity and sound quality. I always make sure to adjust my settings and only use high quality VoIP applications with awesome codecs. The sound is amazing and the cord is more than long enough for whatever setup you have. The cord is your basic 3.5mm plug so you can use it with everything. The mic swivels with ease and can easily disappear and almost forget you had a mic, I like this better than detachable mics. I really don't have anything against this headset and will be upgrading to 7.1 surround sound headset in the near future and passing these on and still recommending them.

ProsCons
Comfortable, Light, Great sound, Good mic sound quality, Mic swivels well out of viewMic doesn't bend practically at all

Awesome Entry Level Gaming Headphones

review by logicpwn
I got mine @ the regular price of $80 and am just as happy with them. Light weight, comfortable, play to a decent level, sound pretty good, mic is clear. Another huge feature that I really like on these is, that you can twist the ear muffs about 10 degrees and they come off for cleaning, they have the soft felt type of fabric that is super comfortable and don't sweat after hours of gaming, so, it's nice that they come off so easily for cleaning every so often. The only negative I have would be that they are an open, or semi open headphone design to allow hearing of surrounding sounds, but they aren't very good in this respect. I have to slip one of the ear muffs off my ear to hear my brother when we are playing together in the same room about 6 feet apart.

Razer Carcharias Perfection!

review by fremish

Razer has never failed to amaze me. I've been using all Razer products for the past 7 years of my life, that is from the beginning of my building career. Not once has Razer ever disappointed me with poor quality products. The other day I was strolling around BestBuy and noticed this headset on the shelf and it caught my eye. The price of the product was fine, I didn't mind putting the required amount of money into it because I know I could expect the best. The headset is a 2.0 system which means that it has two speakers and the "0" would have the value of "1" if a subwoofer is present. I wasn't worried about not having a subwoofer because the headset meets the bass standards for games, which is what I wanted them for. My old headset was very uncomfortable after a few hours of sitting and playing games which made it undesirable, thus further justifying my purchase. The headset's muffs fit very snug around the ear providing use over a long period which was essential. The Highs which are the higher pitched notes are amazing, this goes for the Mids and the Highs as well. The drivers that are used for the headset are top of the line, I've never heard such a crisp and clear sound, no feedback or "White Noise". The headset is also very durable, I've Noticed the plastic is not cheap material, it's worthy of abuse. The mic is very accurate, it's not muffled and doesn't catch unwanted noise, however it does pick up other people who are talking and is super sensitive to that. The volume controller is also handy, it's nice for keeping volume at a nice level while playing games without having to leave the game and adjust it via windows, also turning on and off the mic is useful. This headset is worth every penny. Buy it!

ProsCons
Highs | Mids | Price | Comfort | Durability | Quality | Chrisp | Amazing MicUnavailable

Razer Carcharias Gaming Headset for Xbox 360/PC

review by logan fleming

Overview:

As a first time buyer of a headset for gaming I still believe that this was not an overall bad choice! There are multiple pros that come along with this head set but with positives of course there are always some negatives. The Razer Carcharias is a headset designed for Xbox360 and Pc. It has adjustable voice and game volume balance and extended comfort design. that is not all that comes with the Carcharias's thought... You also get a Microphone mute switch, and bass boost control. Playing games inside this headset sounds fantastic for the amount you pay for them. It is really hard to beat the price of these for what you are getting with them. Despite all of the positives the negatives are a pain in the neck as well. The cord is abnormally long if you sit at a desk like me when playing video games... The Microphone only goes two ways, up and down. I was forced to use my Webcam microphone due to the fact the microphone picks up a lot of background noise. Lastly the headphones seem to slip and slide while on your head if you tend to move a lot while playing games!
