The Saitek Eclipse was a simple keyboard with avoidable problems.
Pros: Price. Simplicity. Extra accessories.
Cons: Paint did not last.
I got the first version of the Saitek Eclipse a couple years back. It did what it had to perfectly and without a hitch. I also liked how there were no superfluous keys. I didn't need any macro keys of multimedia. However, after a couple months of extensive use, the paint on the keys began to wear down. Soon, the WASD keys were not even legible. The newer versions supposedly fixed this problem. I have not purchased another Saitek keyboard so I do not know.
