Pros: $1/GB. some of the best performance for Sata II

Cons: Not Sata III. Sandforce controller slows down on uncompressible data

Before buying this drive i had a Samsung 830 Series 64GB SSD used as a games SSD in my main rig. it was almost full (with only 4-5 games on it) so i needed something bigger. when i saw this deal i had to jump on it.

Pros: The price at $1 per gigabyte is almost unbeatable for SSDs. its the same amount that i paid for my first 60GB SSD. Using Sean's SSD guide i was able to format the drive and get the games i had on the previous SSD copied and up and running in about 10 minutes (transferring from an external conventional HDD)
So far it has performed just as fast or faster for loading Maps in BF3. i have experienced no issues with it.

Cons: It isnt Sata III. I knew this going in and tbh i didnt care for 2 reasons: 1. My current system is X58 which doesn't have native Sata III. 2. Even on Sata III no conventional HDD can match this drive, so it will last me for a while anyways. The sand-force controller is known to be exceptionally fast unless you start getting into incompressible data. but using this as a games SSD instead of something to store documents, pictures, video, or music on makes it worth every penny.

Other thoughts: Newegg had the $60 counterpart of this model listed at $120 also.

I don't know if I'd recommend this as a drive to store games on but as a OS drive it is 12x faster than my old hard drive. I'd recommend this if you want a OS ssd.
