Sennheiser PC 363D High Performance Surround Sound Gaming Headset

100% Positive Reviews

Pros: Everything except the cons

Cons: comfort , drivers

A bit about myself first, I'm not a audiophile by any stretch of the imagination but lets say I like to hear my games and music through a decent headset.
The headset I had before this was a Razer carcharias (V1.0), it's a fairly low end headset but the comfort the headset offers is unbeaten at the price point.

If you have ever bought a high-end product in your life then you know that the company clearly spend time on designing the packaging. The headset came with the 3D G4M1 hub, a usb extension cable, quick start guide and a driver disk.

Overall looks:
The headset looks in my opinion amazing! It doesn't have any of that weird stuff on it (e.g. the huge headband on the siberia v2) which is bound to break off at some point.
The headset feels extremely rugged but that was to be expected at its price. The volume is controlled on the right ear cup and the microphone auto mutes when pulled past a certain point.

The 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound this headset offers makes games like BFBD 2 and BF3 even more breathtaking. If you don't want this (which I cannot understand) then you can easily put it off within the drivers.

G4M1 hub:
This is a feature especially made for FPS games. You put this feature on by sliding the switch on the G4M1 hub. Once this is on you'll hear sound which allow you to locate the enemy easier (e.g. footsteps, soldier calling reload), other in game sounds will be turned down. Personally I haven't used this feature that much since if find I lose my game immersion when it is on.

Music is straight on awesome with this headset! Of course these aren't made especially for music so don't expect the same quality like some high-end cans. Since this is a open headset you can't expect a lot of bass on them. Personally I don't mind this since I listen to Rock / Metal but you might want to take this in consideration.
If you are looking for a closed headset then you might want to have a look at the PC-350s from sennheiser.

Not much I can say about this, the mic is just crisp clear... The mic itself blocks background noise like a champ which is a big pro for me!

This is one of my cons since this headset can get really un comfy after a couple of hours wearing it. This is mainly because I wear glasses if you don't have that then pls ignore this con. I have tried them without wearing my glasses and then they fit perfect around my ears.

I put this as a con since I can't find any update for them... The drivers that were delivered with the headset work well but there is no way to be sure if there is a update for them. If anyone found where to download the latest then pls PM me!

The headset overall is amazing, I know the price point can be a little bit scary but you can be sure that this headset will last you for a lot of years.
