Thermaltake Frio Universal CPU Cooler support Intel lastest 6-core Processors - Retail

Description:
Thermaltake continues to bring innovative solutions to CPU cooling challenges. The CLP0564 overclocking-ready and six-core ready CPU cooler combines multiple features for optimal cooling of high-powered CPUs. The copper base rests directly against the chip to draw away damaging heat. Five seamlessly embedded heatpipes penetrate the cooling fin array above for optimal heat transfer and dissipation. Dual fans, one on each side, move large amount of cooling air over the convection fins at quiet noise level, and a fan control knob allows you to adjust the fan speed to reach a perfect balance between performance and noise. Compatible with Intel CPUs using LGA 1156 / 1366 / 775 socket and AMD CPUs in Socket AM2+ / AM2 / AM3 packaging, this versatile Thermaltake model was designed to work with just about every modern desktop CPU. For ultra-cool protection and forward-thinking style, the Thermaltake Frio blows away the competition. Type: Fan & Heatsinks RPM: 1,200 - 2,500 RPM Air Flow: 101.6 CFM (Max.) Noise Level: 20 - 43 dBA Power Connector: 3 Pin Heatsink Material: Aluminum & Copper Compatibility: Intel: LGA 1156 / 1155 / 1366 / 775 AMD: Socket AM2+ / AM2 / AM3 Fan Dimensions: 120 x 120 x 25 mm

Great Cooler

You may have a issue mounting this CPU Cooler if you do not have a wide enough case and a lot of cables running around near the CPU.

The fans are pretty impressive, you can set them e.g to low speed such as 1000 RPM. Max speed is 2500 RPM.

This ran runs pretty quiet at low RPM's such as 1000. Inside the Thermaltake Frio product packaging, You get CPU Cooler mounts for AMD (AM 1,2,3+) and Intel (LGA 1156/1155/1150, 2011 and 775). It also comes with thermal paste. You get 2x fans for the CPU Cooler heatsink. It has a nice stylish design, attractive cover that is on the top of the heatsink. Has 8 heatsink pipes (4 on each side of heatsink e.g left and right)

It has a direct copper / silver aluminium plate finish on the heatsink's thermal surface 100% smooth.

I would rate this 5 stars, if the wires didn't break for the VRM fan controller knobs. I had to resolder the wire together to adjust the fan speeds again. With the wires broken it would only run at 1500 RPM max, it would need to be controlled by the BIOS fan speed settings.

Warning: To not wiggle the VRM fan controller knob/wire too much, because the wires from the pwm fan connector are connected to the VRM fan controller knobs as well with shrinker's, yeah... They didn't even solder the VRM fan knob wires together, instead they used shrinker s to somewhat stop the wires from not contacting...

ProsCons
Comes with 8x heatpipes, Impressive cooling results, custom adjustable fans via VRM fan knobsMight not fit all ram (e.g tall such as Corsair Vengeance, Dominator) therefore low profile ram might be needed.
