Thermaltake Mini Typhoon

Description:
Thermaltake must have hired a comic at some point over the past months. The naming scheme of the Thermaltake "Mini" Typhoon is purely irony as describing it as "mini" is far from the truth. As far as it is concerned, it has more than 600 gms (weighs in at about 1.7 lbs!) of thin copper fins and six heat pipes, all cooled by a silent 92mm fan in an elevated assembly. That doesn't sound very 'mini' to me. The Tt Mini Typhoon also brings an optinal expansion set to the table with its 'value pack' that sports two fully adjustable 50mm blue LED coolers to help cool memory and otherwise hot mainboard components in close proximity to the processor.

This CPU cooler supports Intel P4 LGA 775 and AMD K8 and AM2 (confirmed K10 to k15) processors and features 6 heatpipes to transfer heat quickly, high-density copper fins offering more surface area for exceptional heat dissipation and copper base solder - the ideal contact to ensure the best performance. Also boasts a 9.2cm silent fan that performs well at only 18db.

Thermaltake Mini Typhoon CL-P0268

One of the oldest pieces of hardware I own and use daily. That being said, it's paid for itself and then some. The dome shaped fan was interesting and did its job well but started dieing several years after owning it (I think the bearings were wearing out). The heatsink out performs most other offerings out there today with its all copper construction and 6 heatpipes. It has cooled an Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2(BE), Phenom II X3, and the latest A10-7850K.Only drawback is its size and weight.

ProsCons
All Copper, Multiple Heatpipes, UniversalVery Heavy
