Great option for XBOX/PS3 and PC gamers
Pros: Great directional positioning, decent bass when on music mode, various dolby modes
Cons: uncomfortable when your head is tilted down (e.g. looking at a laptops screen), Have to spend extra or have a TOSLINK (optical) port for 5.1 on pc
This headset is widely recognised as having some of the best positional audio for headsets made for gaming. While many argue that a great sound card and good stereo headphones beat these, there is nothing better for PS3 and XBOX. To get the mixer to work on PC you will need a toslink output or you will have to but an adapter. the only one i could find is the http://www.turtlebeach.com/product-detail/sound-cards-accessories/micro-ii/31Turtle Beach Micro II ($25). The sound is great and a GIANT difference from stereo. I listened to songs with these before i had the adapter (so it was stereo sound) and then once i had the adapter i could hear things i couldn't before. For gaming they are better than any turtle beach headset and IMHO are on par with astro A40's (although ax720's are better for music). I would recommend these to anyone without a great sound card who plays on both either XBOX and PC or PS3 and PC:thumb:
