TX-521 black micro ATX computer case

Posted

Pros: Agreeable looks, solid construction

Cons: Some might find this case boring looking, isn't full ATX?

I wrote the initial info for this case, so that's pretty much my review.

Compared to the TT Command Snow I just evaluated, if THIS case was ATX sized, I would rather buy this case than the TT Commander that is for certain.
TX-521 black micro ATX computer case
Description:

Simple black case with gloss black front that has a chrome trim ring around it. Front panel has the standard 2x USB and 2x audio in the center area shared with the blue LED power switch and reset button. A nice bonus is an attractively integrated multi card reader just above the power switch. Another plus are the steel thumb screws for the side panels. Has 2x 5.25" drive bays with access to the front. Note there is NOT a 3.5" external bay on the front, which some people may consider a standard feature (so they can add more USB or removable SSD, etc). I've got two of the cases from Tiger Direct system builder bundle special sales. I have been in and out of one of them numerous times; these are pretty good cases. The edges aren't scary sharp on the inside and everything has an OEM quality feel. Nothing cheap feeling about this solid, albeit not exciting, case.
