After dealing with the install woes of 14.04, 14.10, 15.04, and 15.10, I was already prepared to have to install Ubuntu 16.04 at least twice.....but nearly three months later and I'm still running the initial install without any problems. ? Talk about confusing?
. After the the OS was installed, I went about installing the various packages I needed, expecting one or more of them would cause an issue...but none of them did. ?I have F@H, Steam, Samba, and TeamViewer, just to name a few, and everything just worked. Even the nvidia driver install was simple. ?I just rebooted into the shell prompt, installed the driver, reboot again, and presto I'm done. Granted, I am a bit more savvy with Ubuntu than I was back when I was dealing with the previous versions, but there were times were I wouldn't do anything wrong and I'd have to resort to blowing it all up and re-installing. ?The only complaint I have so far is that website running shockwave may not display correctly at times. ?It's an intermittent issue and you might have the problems for days, but still it's a little annoying when web pages start flickering while your trying to read. ? All things considered, it's a great alternative to windows and more user friendly than previous versions which is great for anyone looking to try Linux for the first time.
?
Update: ?I have traced the website flickering to an Chrome Extension add-on, so shockwave actually works perfectly. ?Chrome trying to sync add-ons over multiple OSes can cause undesirable results.
Cheers

Pain free install on the first try
Still lacking in the games realm, but it't much improved.
