Great mech keyboard

review by eternal7trance

I always wanted a mechanical keyboard, but it was hard to find a reliable one that had LEDs and Brown/Black switches. If you dig around on Amazon, these Xarmor keyboard usually pop up from time to time.

I love how sturdy and well built this keyboard feels. With the brown switches it's great for gaming and just regular typing. I love the firmer press feel vs the rubber dome style I had before. This keyboard also gives you the option to use PS/2 or USB. On the top part, the 3.5 mm jacks for input and output are a nice addition so I don't have to switch headphones off of my computer case connections. The two USB connections feel pretty solid as well and still work.

The only issue I have with this keyboard, is occasionally some of the LED lights will go out and then after you restart they all come back on like normal. It doesn't happen often, but it's just weird. Other than that, the keyboard is perfect.

ProsCons
Quieter typing, LED for each key, USB and 3.5mm jacksOccasional LED glitches

Very power hungry, motherboards often can't feed it enough

review by z overlord

I've had this happen often on two different motherboards. I also tried a USB hub. This issue just won't go away.

ProsCons
Nice lookingOften can lose power, needing to be plugged into new USB ports
