Great Card, with some adjustments

review by nitrogannex

So, after building my PC, I decided my 560ti wasn't cutting it and i needed more power, so I saved up a bit of cash and bought this particular GTX 680. I wanted one with a quiet cooler and an extremely high base OC (because i'm to lazy to do it) After Finding out the galaxy cards were no more, that this had the Highest OC i could get. I was even more confident in Zotac due to a very quick and hassle free RMA i had to do earlier this year. So I ordered my card (at a steal on amazon) and once i got a minor CC issue straitened out, It was on it's way. I received it about a week later and opened it up. The Card was in Beautiful shape, and I immediately popped it in my rig and fired it up. I noticed temps while doing F@H were in the high 80's which was unusual for a kepler card. I did a bit of digging and found out that reseating the Heatsink would bring down the temps. I followed the steps (thread here: http://www.overclock.net/t/1293413/psa-attention-zotac-gtx-680-670-amp-edition-users/0_30 ) and added some washers. Now, even with a High OC, Folding temps are anywhere from 40-50c. I currently love this card and even with the minor HS Issue, I definitely would buy another one
