Flash it with the LSI firmware and use the 8480e drivers instead. The interface is pretty nice. It is a Java based GUI that is designed for remote management and is quite detailed.

I am still waiting for my SFF-8484 cables. Plus I plan to buy another Raptor from someone this week.
I plan to do read AND write tests on 3xRAID5 and 3xRAID0 with the controller vs onboard.

Have you tried booting with it? Make sure it works on your motherboard. If your mobo doesn't boot, try the Pin 5+6 mod.
Oh, touch the HS after a few minutes and you'll see how hot it gets! The ARM chip gets quite hot as well.

I think I might have to get myself one of these for my 4x 250GB Hitachi's. I'm going put a 512MB stick with it with a sick ass heat spreader.

And Fuzeion: How can that card kick ass when its bandwidth is limited to 150MB/s?
