I see. Short of eBay, what is the place where I can buy the cheapest BBU?

Just looked on ebay and you're right, these cards have increased in price quite a bit. I got a 5/i off ebay with BBU for $110 USD about 10 months ago. It seems as if the price has gone up since then. My 5/i was malfunctioning so I returned it to the seller and ended up getting a 6/i off of a member here who sells them every so often. Keep an eye out in the for sale section here because sometimes he gets more and sells 5/i or 6/i for about the same price, 110-120 dollars shipped (yours would be a bit extra since you are in Argentina

Who here goes without any mods to the card for cooling? I haven't done any and it's seemed fine for about a week now. No forced induction case either, but it does have a pretty decent airflow.

Internal temp reports around 40C for me. I'm guessing there's no way to capture the perc's temperature?

If you had a temp sensor you could tape it on.

If you touch it with your hand and it's to hot to keep your finger on it, then you'll most likely want to invest in some aftermarket cooling.

This coolermaster will do the job.

Maybe grab a pack of Thermal Pads as well. if you don't feel like modding it so the coolermaster heatsink/fan is held down.

Is that the OEM heat sync clip? Also, how did you get the other heatsync to stay put without anything holding it down?
