**DUCKIEHO** if you read this change the link to straight thru cables because the crossover cable doesnt work without a Sata Backplane.
Ok, got a replacement site for the straight thru?

You can remove the clip. Remember that these cards were in servers.

Grab an old AGP/PCI card and check if you can use its bracket.

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular (8) Sequential does not matter as much as random for OS drives

Would it be a good idea to raid0 4 Seagate ES.2 500GB drives on this. And how long before SSD's with reasonable pricing for capacity comes out.

I was thinking more along the lines of my old USB PCI slot and JB weld an L bracket to the PCI slot thing, then mount it up...

Im assuming the entire tray has to go... it looks like it will block the rest of the PCIe lane if i try to sit it in there

Also... is the looped cooler on the RAID card the same size as standard chipset coolers? I might get one of those SB coolers and just use it on this card given I can get the mounting done right... suggestions there?

You are looking at 2010 for a 100GB drive to become within reasonable spending cash.. mainstream data prices...probably 2011 or so

Ok, thanks for confirming, I thought I had read you saying that, but when I went back for a closer look I couldn't find it, so I thought I was imagining things. Thanks

is the looped cooler on the RAID card the same size as standard chipset coolers? I might get one of those SB coolers and just use it on this card given I can get the mounting done right... suggestions there? Could I buy a standard copper HS like this and just use the same mounting system? I assume replacing the standard TIM will help too

Also, how did you get this copper cooler to stick?
I assume I should do this since it was mentioned it gets very hot

I would really like to have the parts from petras ordered in the next couple days so any prompt responses are very appreciated!

No... the coolers must fit on 1.5" diagonal loops. Most chipset are 2" or more. How would you mount that EnzoTech NB-1? Thermal tape won't work cause the die is too small. The only way would be a lot of thermal adhesive.

I used thermal tape to mount that HS.
