LOL
I set up for the winter in the downstairs guest room... its much colder and much better airflow because of the large screen door I leave open at night

Ok, so using the perc 5i for a raid 5 array and downloading files directly to the array causes those files to be corrupt. Right now I have it set to use no read ahead policy and write through and the files still get corrupt. BBU is attached and the MSM sees the BBU in good condition and fully charged. The array also shows as being in good condition. I'm at a loss...

IF you download a file to the Raptor, are there corruption issues as well?

I am still a little nervous from the raid configuration. Can anyone confirm that a Initialization after the reconfiguration would have wiped out my data?

No!
I just upgraded my Raid 5 from 4x1TB Hdds to 5x1TB Hdds. Nearly 2 days. After Rebuilding it started a Background Initialization. Lastet for about 5 hours. Everything is fine. But the Raid Management Software from LSI did that automatically. I did not initiate it. All files intact and up. |
