Does perc 5/i really work with 512mb? Because all the official LSI docs mention 256mb and that's it. So did anyone get 512mb working?
__________________btw, newegg only has 512mb registered ECC DDR2 400mhz dimm Is this the one I want? I thought it had to be unbuffered AND unregistered.

My (degraded - 3 disk) RAID5 array. I'll add my fourth disk after I install windows on the array and can work with it.
![]() Thoughts? Going to go shower while I install windows. ~Gooda~

Or not...apparently Windows can't see my array when I'm trying to install.
Are there any drivers I need for it to see the array? EDIT: A ha! Did a cold start and it worked. It appears I have the same problems as most others with soft boots (restarts/sleep). Good thing I never put it to sleep and I don't have a problem with shutting down/starting up manually. Off to work! I'm glad I got this installing before I had to leave. ~Gooda~

I hate you guys......I wish I had a spare PCI-E slot for this controller
![]() I have 2 more WD Caviars in the mail for 4x500 GB RAID 0. This would fit that setup nicely.......
