Well I was curious because I dont know if my Mobo has the appropriate slot for the card. Or will it fit any PCI Express slot?

Below is a link to the Asus Crosshair incase you need to see to know.

ICH10R isn't that much better than ICH9R. It is mainly a die shrink.

I will be doing benchies tonight and will post for review.

It is PCIe.... Everything is compatible with everything. This card uses a 8x PCIe interface but it will work in a x1, x4, x8, and x16 slot.

That is great! I will definitely have to look into investing in one then.

Would running this in the second pci express slot on a p45 cause any performance issues with either the card itself or the video card in the other slot?

On another board they have a PERC 5/i and MOBO compatibility list accumulating. Before everyone assumes this is the best card for the money, should we make our own list or compile with there list? Not try to cuase trouble just thinking we should advice people of the compatibility issues with this card, from what i understand its not compatible with my mobo which makes me a sad panda.

All you have to do is cut off the back of the slot. And you'd probably want to tape off the extra pins of the card so that they don't accidentally hit something and short out.

It works for all PCIe cards and slots.
