Default How To Install Raid 0? Stuck...

Hey
Ok i just bought another Diamond Max23 500GB for raid 0

But i am unaware on how to install raid

Is this right?

1)Enter bios
2)Turn on raid 0
3)set to like 128k striped
4)windows installation disc
5)install raid drivers
6)finish windows installation

Is that right

And how do i do number 5?

I dont have a floppy drive and i only have 1 DVD drive

Also i didnt get raid drviers with my mobo

Do you have to install raid drivers or will windows do it for you?

Thnx

The raid drivers are on the website..

http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=do...1&prod_no=1739

I think that is your motherboard..you can just put these on a CD/DVD to use when installing windows. When you are at the point to choose what drive to install windows on, the raid shouldn't show up until you load the raid drivers.

Could i jsut put the raid drivers on the windows cd manually

Then browse for it during installation?

At the hard drive selection screen you will be able to insert another disc to search/browse for drivers. After you have loaded the drivers the raid should show up...windows will ask you to reinsert the installation disc after you select the raid.

If you are using windows 7 and select "Get latest updates from the web" Or whatever its called exactly it should find the raid drivers. I think the disk has a decent amount of drivers on it already.

yeah, should work.

Keep in mind that the drives are formatted when the raid is created..so it might be helpful to have another computer around incase you run into problems.
