You need 35+ reps OR BE A MEMBER FOR ATLEAST 18 MONTHS to post a new thread in the For Sale and Wanted Forums. Exceptions cannot and will not be made to this rule.

Think of being able to use the for sale section as a reward for contributing to the forums and earning 35 reputation points. Also, the 35 rep limit should be easily attainable within 18 months, regardless of your level of computer knowledge.

The "for sale section as a reward" thing I completely understand and I know why you say that. I also know that 35 reps "should" be easily attainable if you are halfway intelligent and know even a little about anything on this forum, or if you help someone else with what you've learned on this forum - that I get also.

However, if you don't spend a lot of time on the forum, it's hard to get reps (which is the way it should be). I know, I should be here to help, and the rep I've gotten so far is mostly me helping people (and I appreciate those reps

This summer, I haven't had time to look at the forums for something I could help with - I haven't really had time to look for stuff that I need help with. When I'm on here, I'm looking at the FS sections, or the news if something catches my interest. I have had time to shop on this forum because there are a lot of great deals- I've purchased everything from a mobo, to a CPU cooler, to a PSU, to F.E.A.R. and I've been happy with my experiences. Do you know what the sad thing is? I will probably hit a 35 Trader Rating before I hit the 35 Rep rating, and I still won't be able to sell anything here, or even post a "Freebie" thread if I wanted to

LoL I understand your pain man lol. 7 Reps, 5 Trader Ratings lol...The reason i posed my suggestion was only because people on here offer GREAT deals, so why not pay them back and offer deals on components I am no longer using? If you Mods decide to tweak the guidelines, Im sure there will be plenty of poeple willing to accept it
