Default My sig rig's E8500

I hate to part with my favorite cpu but it bout to happen with my want for new processors. I am asking $220 shipped OEM (I will ship USPs in a padded envelope) or $230 shipped and I will include a box and heatsink from one of the older cpu's (the better heatsinks) and will ship UPS.

Overclocking: It will do 4.0 at less than 1.3v, but I am not sure how much lower, I never run it at 4 and when I did, I ran it at 1.3 and it was prime stable. 4.1 and 1.325-1.34 or so gets you there. I run 24/7 at 4.2 at 1.36v with no drop/droop and it is not prime stable but is 100% stable with EVERYTHING I do. 4.3 at 1.4 acts the same but I did not run this for more than a day or 2 just to test. Obviously this chip can go higher if you are not scared of the 1.36 wall people talk about. Personally after owning 3 45nm dual cores and having them near this 1.36 vcore, I have not seen ANY changes to clock and vcore but that's just me. Lastly, it is lapped, I am running with no thermal paste at all with 50c load and 26 idle in a 78f room. With as5 temps were even better.

Thanks for looking!

Hold on.
You are not using thermal paste?

If the CPU and HSF are really flat and make really good contact there isn't much need to use thermal paste, of course you should use a little but you don't, though like I said they have to be really flat.

As of now no, I just did it to prove that my block and cpu are making amazing contact Max temp as reported by real temp is 39/40 and idle now is 25/25 at 4.2 1.36v. Quite the cool running chip I would say and definitly the coolest running I have ever owned.
