My 32" 720P LCD CAN do 1080i, it looks like crap compared to 720 but it CAN display 1920x1080 some how, I don't know how/why but it did it.

trsut me, NO LCD screen ca do 1080i, they can accept it and they will say the signal is 1080i, but they are actually deinterlacing, and resizing to its native resolution. All LCD screens are progressive and cannot display interlaced

Is this a monitor or does it have a built in tuner?

Actually LCD TV's can do interlacing. For the most part, progressive will always look nicer, even at a lower resolution. But TV's can do it.

You sound like you know about LCD. But I am pretty sure that you are wrong on the resolution.

It is a TV, not a monitor.

A widescreen Monitor does 1440 x 900 resolution. A 19inch tv is normally around 720p (1280x720)

Odd right? Look at these links, the name brands, before you click on them are listed as 720p resolution but they're resolutions are infact 1440x900

Look at the 19" ones

Samsung 19 HDTV

Toshiba 19 HDTV

LG 19 HDTV

this is the only reputable brand with an ACTUAL 720p resolution Sharp

If your planning on getting a 19" monitor i would always reccommend these because they have EVERY input and a HDTV tuner! Westinghouse has gotten rid of my HDTV's product page because its over 20months old, but it too is exactly like these TVs. They are actually VERY conveinent, unless you only have a 720p signal or 4080i signal, because even 720p will looked stretched on 1440x900
