Default MySQL Database Keeps Erroring Tables....

Alright I have a very small/simple webserver that is mostly for my own learning and keeping contact with some close friends.

I have upgraded to Windows Server 2003 and reinstalled Appserv and PHPBB3. Now when the server is running sometimes the database will end up with damaged tables and I have to repair them. I have done 4 in the past 8 hours. I never had an issue with Windows Server 2000. What gives? I don't want to roll back because I plan on hosting a game with this server and Windows 2000 just can't support it.

Suggestions? Maybe.......sigh.....Linux?

Well I have been using appserv for years with zero problems. I upgrade to Windows 2003 and have problems?

I tried easyphp before, i'll look at it again. I doubt I will be changing.

What kind of tables are you using, and what recovery mode are you running MySQL in?

Also, what version of MySQL are you running? I run a MySQL4 server with about 3000 databases on it, and we very rarely have tables that get corrupted. My first guess would be that you're having problems with your disk, as typically MySQL doesn't easily corrupt its tables on its own.

I also have mysql4 and the database is for nothing more than a phpbb3 forums so it's about 70 tables. The errors seem to have stopped now? I have no idea what happened.

I would definately atleast check the integrity of your hard disks.
