Hey everybody!
I have a problem i cant seem to fix. Im running Windows Server 2003 on a old comp. that i dont use anymore. I had everything working so in Vista all i had to do is doubleclik the server and then type my user and pass to access my shared files. I could not connect any of my XP comps. to it though. So i added a role to make it a VNP server and this is where it went down hill. This screwed up the configs and i cant even see the server on Vista anymore. I put everything back to normal where the server now is just a file server but i can not see the server under network. So my problem, I used a VNP server setup to connect a XP comp and it didnt work, so i removed it and i cant connect with vista now. So my question is, how can i get the server to show up in vista and how can i get it to connect with XP? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() also im new to servers so try to make your answer as simple as possible

I'm not sure how to fix your new problem. For your old problem it seems that you didn't have all the computers on the same workgroup.
