Server's to Host MMORPG database
Customer has a need for 4 high end Servers supporting 8 TB minimum storage, Rackmount, need to support T6 Line, With 1 million Online at one time, with up to 40 million Accounts Stored.
To host the Database for an MMORPG. (like second life) Need to know what type of Processors and memory needed as well as any other suggestions. They are really looking for some high end stuff to run this all, so that they won't NEED to upgrade it if they decide to launch additional game titles. we both have no clue what hardware it would take to do this. And I figure yall are my strongest resource for everything =) Since my Company Systemax custom builds Servers and workstations, I know we will be able to provide all the hardware he needs for his new project, just need help with the specs.

How large are the accounts? Are the users/accounts in one instance? What type of usage pattern are we looking out from the users?

To answer most of your questions: (1) a fridge cannot cool a PC (2) 64-bit OS for over 3.4GB (3) If a PCIe card fits, it should work (4) Resolution, not screen size (5) If you have a question, it is not news (6) Report, not respond to Spam (7) Single-Rail/Non-Modular PSUs are not always better than Multi-Rail/Modular
