Old thread but it really hits home for me. What I mean is there is someone else looking at the "use FileZilla its really easy to setup" and saying "What the". For me my entire home web site hosting situation is just a educational exercise as ,just have to say it guys, the abbreviated answers given just don't cut it. Don't get stuck trying to figure out someone elses lingo and go your own way. You may spend a little money lose a little time but in the end the knowledge gained will be firmly imprinted. Then you can be the one who gives half answers,no I won't be like that when I get it figured out I will explain all very slowly and clearly to anyone who wants to try home web site hosting, and I am getting real close.

Working on a Serv-U setup as we speak (really working on setting up downloads from a web design site).
__________________With Serv-U what is my FTP host name? With Serv-U Username is the one I created for my domain management? or? With SerV-U Password is the one I created for my domain management?or? Remote Directory, not sure I have Told Serv-U where to put downloads but setup ran with no errors through the wizard. The FTP host name is the one that has me stumped most and its probably the easiest. Serv-U expensive $195.00 per year and if you want technical support its like 29.95 initaly then you get charged by the minute from then on,Och! They do have e-mail support, lets see how it works. This is becomming quite a adventure,if they think they can wear me down they are wrong .No idea who Harrier is,wish I did though. OK figured out how to correctly setup a user account and now I have access to my site through Easy Web and can edit my pages. Man did this take a long time but now its off to explore editing web pages.
