Hey guys. I have a lot of files which would be easier if I can get it online everywhere I am without dragging a external HDD with me.
I have a simple P4 3.2 GHz HT, 4GB Ram, GF 6800, and 800 GB's of space with XP and W7. So is there any way to make it a FTP server so I can download files from everwhere I am? Thanks.

I like this program ,just be sure your ip adress is external or you'll have to use hamachi.

I suggest either FileZilla (free) or just use the built-in Internet Information Services (IIS) feature in XP Pro, Vista (Home Premium and up) and W7 Ultimate. FileZilla is easier to set up though.
http://filezilla-project.org/ I also recommend signing up for a free account at DynDNS and installing their client software so you can get a subdomain that will always point to your IP address. http://www.dyndns.com/

love filezilla, its incredibly easy to setup. just make sure you setup a good password, and have a lock out after so many failed attempts.

serv-u ftp server = easiest to use.. forget filezilla.. their products suck (my opinion)
