Hi everyone,
i am currently at work were one of my servers has decided to break well not the server but the hard drives anyway (from what i can gather) i am going to have to but some new SAS HDD anyway which is cool but unfortunately the server in question was the host of Exchange 2007. i need to get this server running up as soon as possible which fortunately i made a backup the day before breaking i now have another server which i am going to attempt to use.the backup tape i have is a HP DAT 72 USB and i have the DAT72 tapes that came with it. using Data Projector Express which comes with the drive i was able to make the backup on another machine but now i am wanting to restore the backup. any ideas on this i don't even know were to start if i am being honest. thanks Anjokid

Do you have the hard rives configured in a RAID array? If so which hard rives have failed? Also, to restore your backups I think you need to go into the software you used to do the backup.

they are set to raid and both drives have failed now. i think it maybe the controller is responsible for the problems.
i have now been able to apply the backup to the computer however the file system is fat16 any ideas on how to change this to NTFS looked up however i am not able to do the CONVERT C: \fs:ntfs any ideas?
