Default Server Noob build

Since no one helped me last time I thought I would give more details.

This server is gonna be to host games on like COD4 Servers etc. I know what the games require and I would like to keep this build budget friendly. So this is what I have so far. I will put the HDD in Raid 1 so if one fails at the Datacenter the backup drive will fail over.
You will see there is no processor b/c im getting the q9550 from Microcenter

Is there anything that you all would change one the server?

Thanks

First off change the hard drives to WD3200AAKS. They have 16MB of cache, unlike the 8MB of the ones you picked, so they are slightly faster. And the cost is exactly the same.

Second, that RAM you picked runs at 2.1V so it's gonna get pretty hot and use a bit more power than regular 1.8V sticks. Two sets of these should do the trick and save you some cash too.

And just for future expandability, you should probably pick a motherboard with a few more PCIe slots. Maybe one day you'll decide you wanna upgrade your server with a RAID card or some real NICs or something, so this way you won't have to upgrade the MB to do it. And if you ever want to sell it once LGA775 is completely obsolete (which isn't too far off now), the extra PCIe slots will help you resell it faster and at a better price, because someone else might want to use it for a server.

yes as stated eariler by Manyak - you dont need such good lookig ram if no-ones going to be looking at the computer in a window, all you need is 677 or 800 mhz ram like corsair value select 4gb kit x 2
get a hard drive with maybe 16 or 32mb cache, and - if needed a cheap gpu, nothing big is needed as this is a server which will most of the time not be needing a screen, so if that motherboard has onboard vga, that is all that is needed (lol cbf checkup the motherboard)
