Just so people know:

A guide on WDS would not be the same as a guide on how to install and configure Windows Server 2008. WDS is a tool used to deploy operating systems to OTHER machines FROM a Windows Server 2008 R2 device.


if you are lost on installing Windows Server 2008 R2, or don't have other systems where you want to install an OS remotely, then WDS isn't probably going to help you much...

I think it's a great idea, I've been thinking about writing up guides on Server 2008 for a while now because it's just that much more powerful than WHS even at home and more people around here need to see what it can do.

Manyak, can you do guides on the following please?

- Properly setting up a DNS and DHCP server in server 08 (contingencies for a router on the network as well since that is what many folks run at home)
- Properly setting up Active Directory

I can take care of WDS, but installing WDS is dependent on having AD-DS, DNS and DHCP services installed beforehand.
