Mainly wanting steam based servers ie. CSS, TF2, World In Conflict, maybe even L4D/2.

Here's whats inside:

Q6600 2.4Ghz
2 x 8800 GT XFX
Asus P5N-E SLI (650i chipset)
4 gigs of some ddr2 memory that idk what it is lol

Internet is Comcast, beleive its 12mbps download maybe like 6 upload not to sure though.

Think this is good for a server based on that what I want to do and what parts I have.

totally dude, maybe ditch the 8800's in favor of lower power less chance of something going wrong.

Would make an excellent server. What were you planning on using it for? Gaming or fileserver? I'd just make sure your case has some filters or at least put the server somewhere with very little dust (or clean it regularly :P).

For a game server, bandwidth is also really important. Make sure you have a very fast and stable connection. From what I understand 6mbps up isn't going to get you very many players (search this forum for recommendations).

Also, as others have mentioned, ditch the video cards. They're completely unnecessary for a server and will do nothing but add heat and use power. Maybe you could sell them and use the money to buy some additional hard drives or RAM.
