Default Rubber Mounting Silenx

Okay, so I'm getting this incredibly annoying rattling on this fan after installing it. I'm wondering how in the heck I install these rubber mounting screw things.

Do they replace the actual metal screws? Or do I put them in the open end of the fan?

they replace the screws...and for me the rattling happens when it spins at full speed, especially when I just turn on the PC...it goes away after a while

now I have my SilenX running off the Fan Only PSU connector in the bottom of my P180...cools my HD's just fine and I can't hear it

haha love your avatar.

Yeah, looks like so far, the mounting screws have done the trick, using real, threaded screws was probably the reason I had that horrible rattling and probably why the set gets such bad ratings on newegg. I'm down ~2-3C after adding two exhaust fans to replace the ones I already had (one on side, one in back, not counting the psu)
