Default best acoustic dampening material?

there are many different noise dampening materials in the market so which one to choose? I haven't been able to find any reviews which would compare noise dampening materials. price range seems to be 15-70 euros at my local shops. is there even big difference between them? so if you guys have any experience about different noise dampening materials please help me out I'm looking for some solution for my antec titan server case.

ive just layered the inside of my case with this stuff from frozen cpu, it has actually helped a lot with the vibration chatter. I'm sure you can find this kinda stuff in your local store. maybe pick up two of them and put this stuff where ever you can. Also put 2 layers on the back panel, ive seen this work a lot better than just one layer.

I very strongly suspect that that is the exact same as this
as the box it comes in is the exact same, except for the frozenCPU logo. ALL the other wording on the box is the EXACT same. See this: http://downlink.homeunix.org/worksta.../HPIM0782.html

SAVE $7!

Better: http://www.partsexpress.com/webpage....ctGroup_ID=137

The thicker the foam, the more frequency range it can absorb.

Not much difference in coverage price:

$11 JabTech Material for 0.4208m^2 (or $26 per m^2)
$9 SonuicBarrier for 0.2787m^2 (or $32 per m^2)

However, the SonicBarrier is MUCH better (especially with the heavy backing). I've used all of the above before..

Not to question the "engineered" stuff, but isn't it just egg crate foam?

I think it's a higher density.
