All you really need are some cheap foam pads to use as washers between the HDD and the screws.

In a 3.5-inch drive bay? I doubt it. It's already somewhat difficult for me to push my hdds into my 3.5-inch bays with two layers of electrical tape on the sides.

If you don't need the HDD's in the bay, you can place some foam under each corner and sit it on the bottom of your case. It really helps a lot with noise (since most noise is from vibration).
