Default Silent keyboard?

What good would a silenced computer case be with a keyboard loud enough to wake my dog? Yes, you guessed it, I need directions to a silent keyboard! I've heard DELL makes silent keyboards? I'd prefer one with mediabuttons and some hotkeys, but it's not a necessity tho. Thanks.

(Maybe this thread should find it's home in "Computer peripherals", but I don't think it's too far out of it's way in here? )

there's also that portable keyboard which is a small rectangle that shines the image of a keyboard with a red light on a surface like a desk and you just use it like a regular keyboard but the only sound it will make is the surface of your fingers hitting the desk

the infa-red keyboards yeah... thats silent, but the problem with those is just like with any type of that technology right now, not responsive, takes a while to get use to. But, i wouldn't shoot it down :P

Far2Paranoid: Then sunk the box so he could OC the CPUs to 1.3Ghz
Far2Paranoid: Coolest stuff I've ever seen.

Ooh, that is a nice keyboard! Love the "external"-lighting option (although the lycosa has a great advantage with illuminated keys)

I've always had this diea that flexible ones have buttons hard to get accustomed to, and that it dances all over my desk while I type

The Lycosa is also a very nice keyboard, but the Tarantula one doesn't look any worse, AND it's got hotkeys. Any other significant differences?

Haha, cute! I know I said silent, but d**n! That would look sweet, but I have a feeling it would drive me nuts! Doesn't seem to be the best choice for gaming imo.

Jeez, that Optimus one costs 1600$!!! <- enough said really...

---

Right now I'm thinking Razer, Tarantula or Lycosa...I like how the lighting looks to be adjustable, both on/off, but also the WSAD lighting option!
