Default Anyone have the DFI Dark P35 board? check this out

I took these some time ago when I swapped out the NB cooler on my DFI DK P35. I was getting NB temps that idled around 48-50 and load was 52-56, which just made me feel uncomfortable. I know I voided the warranty by swapping, but oh well.

Just wanted to show everyone that 3 of the best passive/quiet coolers available fit nicely on this board.

CPU cooler: Xigmatek HDT-S1283 with Noctua P12 fan
NB cooler: Xigmatek PTR-N881
GPU cooler: Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2

That hs looks pretty good.

I just placed a small 40mm fan on mine. It does get hot even with the fan. It is ~60C. The fan helped a bit. Before I had a fan on there it was ~70C. Seared my finger pretty good when I touched it. lol. I should of known better.

The last picture is pretty tight. Makes your S1283 look like a behemoth.

Very nice, I was thinking about doing it but tbh on my p45 it doesn't get hot enough to worry about. Btw, I'm pretty sure if you had an issue with your motherboard you could always stick the stock nb heatsink on it before you send it in. I doubt they will know something unless they take it off.

not trying to be ot, but in response to this, unfortunately there's a high probability that they would - there is one of those sticker-label things stuck to both the stock HS and the PCB itself (the kind that ruins itself when you remove it, no matter how careful). That's really the only drawback to this board is the poor NB cooling.

back ot, i was considering voiding the warranty too hehe. this looks really nice, soloz! nice air is classy; i was considering throwing the NB into my new WC loop, but we'll see.

yes, with the sticker there is a good chance you would not be able to get any warranty work done, but if you are careful it wouldn't be impossible to get it put back.
