I just built my PC with the P182 case and I can't say that I'm pleased with the hellish heat my drives run at right now. HDD1 Runs at 44C and HDD2 runs at 47C.
It's either a mystery or a complete idiot behind the idea of having a 4 HDD spaces and no mount for fans... Sure it's silent now but it's nowhere near as good in terms of cooling as it should. The second GPU is suffering air loss since there is less than a centimeter between case bottom and the cooler. It now runs a 77c idle now compared to 60 The motherboard I just bought which I haven't tested OC'ing yet had already shown it's loss of quality. One of the SATA ports are broken from the inside and when I pulled out the SATA cable I got a piece from the sata port. ![]() This is the rig. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll see if I change my mind and claim a new one. I don't want to send this motherboard away when I haven't sent back the first that went bad.

4.1GHz and counting...

Mod the front plastic fan vents to allow for more air. It involves cutting out extra plastic in the vents. Someone made a guide on here for doing it but I can't find it at the moment. I think what your setup is lacking is enough air being drawn into the case. Your exhaust is fine. You just need to work on getting that intake flowing a bit better.
EDIT: Found the article. Apparently it was on silentpcreview.com. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums...=374290#374290

Well you removed the Hard drive fan for more room for your wires, of course the drives are getting hot! That fan draws air through the bottom vents.
__________________Side note: Do you find that EVERYTHING is just damn well hotter in this case? I went form an A900 to this case and everything is hotter. I've actually had my PC shutdown because of high GPU temperatures. This case SUCKS for silent cooling.

Add a 120mm fan in the front of the lower chamber. I did with mine and HDD's were at 31C. Pics of it here:
![]() In the lower right I have a 120mm fan right on my HDD's. It wont fit without removing that bracket that the HDD cage screws in to. Other wise you can fit a 100mm fan in there with out removing anything. here is a pic of that: ![]() I have some double sided mounting tape to hold the fan in place. Worked like a charm Edit: This case is great if you have it set up properly. I had my P180 for 2 years and never had any problems with heat whatsoever. My 8800GTS 640 never got above 60 and my HD4870 never went above 65C with fan speed on 37%.

Well what can I say I went from a Stacker STC-T01 to this. The HX1000W probably wasn't meant to fit in this case with the fan. It's modular so it takes more space behind the PSU. ![]() Woohoo 2700 posts I'll do something about the HDD space but right now it's a complete mess and there is no room for extra cooling in the lower section of the case but I have a Zalman CNPS9500 in front of of the case and I saw the front panel mod on various forums and I can't agree more, how can they make the filter so small when there is two full porpuse filters already. I'ma getting mah cutter and open up a little more ![]() Woohoo 2700 posts!

But yeah a 100mm/80mm fan in the bottom like the picture show would be great and then replace the lower chamber fan adn you should be cool. I'm still non-the wiser about my heat issues, though. Maybe it's my antec tri-cools?

![]() I have a spare Hiper 730W PSU but I bought this just recently and I don't want the Hiper because it uses one 92mm fan that can kill the sound barrier (65-66dB). And the HDD's I have right now is: 1x1TB, 1x500GB, 2x400GB-RAID0. I'm gonna throw out the 2x400 soon and move the HDD's to the upper HDD holder. Oh and how'dya like my cable management. forgot to even bother with a super cable management bacuase of the insuficient space in the case.

I'll trade you my dampened 690 for that 182
![]() what series Noctua fans are you using? You'll want a p on the cpu and I'd probably go with Yate loons or scythe slipsteams for case fans. They are slightly louder, but push a lot more air.

I ditched the dust covers and the little doors then replaced them with black modders mesh, dropped my temps quite a bit, like others have said put another fan infront of the HD bay as intake, I wouldn't recommend putting the lower chamber middle fan back in, I killed mine after a cable from the PSU got stuck in it ;l
__________________I'm suprised you got the side panel on with those PCI-E cables running round the side, I had to cut a space just for the 8-pin CPU calbe, I was sick of the panel bulgeing. Heh I just realised you have the same fan controller and X-fi front panel as me
