Default Silencing New WC Build

I am overhauling my PC, one step at a time. I am going to upgrade my "Nightrunner" to a Coolermaster HAF case with a new NVIDIA GTX 260 Core 216 (later to dual or tri SLI) and will use a 8800 GT for Physics (until I go 3-way SLI). I am also going to go with WC for my new build so I can squeeze every ounce of performance from my CPU and be able to OC a Phenom II when I get one.

List of Upgrades:
  • Cooler Master HAF (High Air Flow)
  • EVGA GTX 260 Core 216
  • Complete WC Setup
    • 3x Scythe S-Flex (willing to change)
    • Swiftech Quiet Power 320
    • Swiftech MCP655 Pump

      Irrelevant Stuff Below
    • Dtek Fuzion V2
    • Dtek Fuzion GFX 2
    • Dtek Uni-Sink for GTX 260
  • Case Silencing
Basically, what can I do to make this system as quiet as possible?

Well I've got a lot of those parts currently if you have any questions: - HAF, MCP655, MCR QP-320, and the D-Tek Fuzion (v1 though).

I would recommend getting 6 fans and putting them in push/pull on that radiator unless you're worried about the extra sound. That radiator does well with low speed fans so that should help you.

I would upgrade your radiator just a bit. My MCR320 handles my quad fine, but I wouldn't put a GTX 260 in there too.

A CPU and a GTX260 on a 360 rad seems a little optimistic, especially if you plan on adding additional cards to the loop later on.

id advise a full cover block for your gtx 260, im not sure what temps are like on a gtx 260 but my gtx 280s get crazily hot from the metal cases around them, i reken using heatsinks on the card/cards could mess up your general case temps.

The majority of that heat is from the GPU....

Stick with the MCR320, or grab two. Right now my single 320 is handling two 4870's and an overclocked Quad. It used to also handle the NB but I swapped boards.

I'll be getting a 2nd MCR320 because, well, they're $50 lol. But as for noise you can have 55 CFM fans (damn near silent) and the radiator is still effective.
