Hello all,
I'm thinking of doing a "quiet but powerful" home pc build. For the CPU, I'd like to keep it to no more than 65w TDP. So obviously i7 is out. intel and AMD have both been steadily releasing new processors and I can't keep track of them all. I'm looking for recommendations for the "best" 65w TDP processor to use in my build. AMD or intel, I have no preference. The more cores the better (are there any 65w quad cores??) due to the threaded nature of my tasks. I don't care about overclocking, I'll be running at the original speed only here. I can wait a month or two if there's something new on the horizon that hasn't been released yet. So who is King of the 65w TDP hill?

Yes, it is much faster but also quite a bit more expensive.
