Default NZXT Panzerbox?

Hey guys,
Just had a look at the Panzerbox from Bill Owens mod (You should take a look, its essentially 42 pages of win).

Looks like an awesome case, but general consensus is that its a damn noisy case.

Apart from dialing down the 2 x 150CFM fans (I dont think >300CFM of air movement is needed), what else could i do to improve the sound dampening?

- Silencing foam on every possible surface?
- rubber HDD grommets?
- replace the 190cm fans with quiter models? (Do they even exist?)

Anything else?

Thanks for the help.

Do you have the case are are you basing that off what other people are saying? but foam or pads they sell you can put in the case and will bring the noise down.

It's not that loud.

Personally, instead of this case, I'd go for an Antec 300 or a CM690.

I just don't like the looks of this case, or the PSU placement.

Go for it man the design of the case is great id buy it just to look at it. It's easy to manage, roomy for its size, you can prop a rad up the top, very mod-able. Have you seen the HAF 922? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811119197 mini 932

Going for an antec 300 is also a good idea since its only like 50 bucks its a good build and the remainder of your budget you can mod the **** out of it and make it real sexy

Use some rubber mounting screws or some silencing mounting kit for the HDDs. Also probably using rubber gromet style mounting like what comes with a Noctua fan. You could also use washers to help mount the PSU and Fans

PSU-

For fans/HDs etc or even rubber feet for the bottom.

The Haf922 is pretty big for a mid-tower, almost the same as my P182. I'm looking for something a little smaller, chuck a few handles on and we're good .

Does anyone have any links to quieter 190mm fans? Noctuas or something similiar?

You know here's an idea why don't you add some mesh over the 190mm cut out area and add w/e you want a 120 or 80mm or w/e would work well.

I was considering this case, but then I looked into it and the side mounted power supply can get in the way of bigger graphics cards. Other than that its a real solid case, I would of gotten it if the PSU was mounted on the bottom normally, not sideways. Its a pretty solid case other than the PSU mounting, because the motherboard tray is removable.

When this case was first released I didnt see a need for it but now after redesigning my work space I need to grab one. My CM690 is too tall and the Panzerbox seems is as far as I know the shortest high air flow atx case available.
