No grills = lots of dust.

So now dust is your enemy. Good luck with that.

I've found oversize fan holes, isolator grommets in oversized mount holes, neoprene dampening material, and the usual attention to airflow and cable management produce the best results. It's not just one thing, one choice, but the application of many small tweaks to the particular set up that yield your desired result.

Going to have to agree with the sage wisdom of CD on this one. Throwing in a bunch of fans and running them very low is one thing.. but smart placement of your fans, cable management, and free-flowing fans will get you exactly where you want to be.

Already been mentioned but you need to turn that 80mm fan around.

Also, CD is right.

I have 11 fans (really should be 14 but im missing some) and my case could be quieter, though the water pumps make up the bulk of the noise, that and my high speed yate loons.

EDIT: Hit post before I realized what I was doing. Nice write up, I like what you did with the window, now take a dremel to that rear exhaust grille! >:]

Already turned it around. Dremels are for noobs. Not worth the effort to take my system apart for it. Not when I have a 140 for a top exhaust.
