![]() IPods Used to help students Cheat, schools Proposing ban during exams Students have recently been busted for a brand new form of cheating: loading test answers on their iPod's and MP3 players. This new form of cheating extends all the way from simply putting information in a lyric file to "podcasts" of test answers. Two students have already been caught red handed, and so a school in Meridian, Idaho has banned MP3 players of any form being on a student during a test. These incidents have even triggered talk of a national ban. This is vastly in contrast to the move Duke University made in 2004 when they bought 1,650 iPod's so that their students could keep up with studies. Source: Reg Hardware

yeah, we're not allowed to listen to mp3 players while taking tests... no one's smart enough to do that around here anyway. >.>

I love listening to music during exams, it helps me relax.
I have done it every semester for almost every class. However, I usually talk with my teacher about it beforehand.

I saw this friday on my phone when I was bored during class. I do know more than one person thats cheated using an ipod. None of my teachers allow them in class though, so its uncommon to use them to cheat. I'd hate not having it on campus though, passing periods are so annoying listening to others peoples conversations.

In my school we were taking standardized test and I think I got the only teacher who let us listen to our mp3 players. Ya, I thought about doing that, but I never really considered actually doing it.

Wow Ipod's arent technically allowed at our school nor are any mp3 players because of theft. Dosent stop anyone though. But i you got to give the m some credit for thinking of it. THEN BEAT THEM until they learn to never do it again

Wow.... I've never taken a single test/quiz/exam in my life where the procter/teacher allowed mp3 players or phones. Where and under what circumstances is that allowed? I can't believe teachers can't figure that out. That's the first thing that would come to my mind!

I always knew that you could do that...but I don't cheat...lol.
__________________Plus, weren't MP3 players already banned in classes anyway? I mean...at least in high schools they are...just they aren't enforced unless you got it on in class. A lot of teachers let us use them during homework...NEVER during tests/exams though... Guess it would be a little different in university...but during exams...NO ****, you shouldn't be allowed to use em... Teachers are just stupid if they allow that kind of stuff.
