Thank God when ever Apple releases a new version of OSX everything works, and works and works! MS Fanboys = suckers!

Heck even when Apple went from Motorola 68XXX to PowerPC to Intel, most everything (except obscure and strange CDEV's) worked, and worked and worked.

I'm glad I use and own a Mac.

Thanks OP, you just made my whole week.

P.S. I don't care about the accuracy of the article it still was 100% effcective for taking a jab against apple and ticking off my fanboy coworker, and that is all that matters to me.

Also, I am really getting tired of this Vista bashfest. I am not a fan of MS, I just happen to use their OS because it suits me. Everyone is crying like a bunch of babies that their XP programs won't work(well, DUH!), that drivers won't work(it just came out for god's sake!), and that they don't have the mental capacity to learn a new OS. Shut up and deal with it, or don't buy it. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Every OS has had a rocky start to some degree... OSX did, and so did XP... everyone hated XP when it was first released and now they seem to love it because they have a new OS to brainlessly bash.

Bleh.

I actually work for one of the largest Mac sellers/resellers in the NW USA. I'm also currently on their network (lol) so I'm really not at liberty to discuss much. :|

I will say that after as much first-hand Mac experience, both software and hardware related (keep in mind we customize systems here, so I'm not just dealing with an OS), I would never ever EVER use one at home nor trade my PC and Windows for one.

That's all for now..

-edit-

Oh, BTW - We sell Vista here. Buy now! ;D

Another thing, 1 out of 3 of my co-workers are trading their Mac Pros for custom PC's. (shhh..)

Many users of the new Mac systems with Intel chips are starting to run Windows. We get Vista and XP orders like crazy now days.

Mac Fanboys - Your golden apple god is selling out!

Quiet frankly, I'm not surprised in the least... at all. I knew Microsoft was stepping it up and i knew they intended to beat apple in every conceivable way this time around. They achieved that. Still a few bugs but all new OS have those.

I never understood why people were calling xp or any other microsoft os vulnerable . ive been using xp for about 4 years and the times which i got virus infected are about 4-5 times which for my standards is pretty good . i believe that an operating system is safe as much as its users common sense. i mean people shouldnt complain that they got infected after visiting a billion porn sites and downloading hundreds of unknown executables. use a firewall, use an antivirus , use your COMMON SENSE and whichever os you use you should be fine.

I was under the impression that a large proportion of Vista was fresh code (Certainly much greater than 50%) - as was NOT the case with XP (ME was the test-bed for xp features and should never have been released).

However, I could be wrong.

Agreed, I thought it was written basically from the ground up.

Well yes and no. A lot of it's core components were written fresh. A few things were borrowed from XP but all of it had to pass through the new system they developed for verifying the code or something.

Yeah, with Rosetta software which whacked your performance 25-30% which is hardly something worth writing home about in an overclocker's forum.
