As far as WGA goes - given that Win is a closed OS, it seems only natural and proper that attempts are made to ensure users are not running pirate copies; after all, those that ARE running pirate copies are thieves and theft is, to my knowledge, illegal in most countries. If you want to run an OS and tinker with all aspects of it then install a linux system.

PC Users smoke crack, play PC games on $4,000 computers, and drink Jolt. Knock, Knock - reality is calling.
That is just a dumb thing to write, imho.

I use my (windows) PC as follows:
1) As my primary tool for information, learning & education on a HUGE range of topics/cultures/subjects, news gathering + reading (I refuse to have a TV (visual valium) in my house telling me what to think and believe, and I don't take a daily newspaper).
2) As a tool to access information on my hobbies.
3) Having no TV, my PC is my primary tool for watching DVD movies and documentaries etc.
4) As a tool to write and record my own musical compositions.
5) As a tool to react and protest on many different issues (eco-issues, political issues, social injustices etc) - many of which I would be impotent to react to without this tool.
6) To play games - both offline and online.
7) To keep in touch with friends and family abroad.

My PC cost nowhere near $4k - but it serves me more efficiently, personally and acceptably than any other thing that I own.
Don't smoke crack - and *** is Jolt?

Jolt is a soda that software coders would drink. It's twice the caffeine of regular soda.

Sorry about the crack dig. It's just that I'm both a Mac and PC user. I've heard all the arguements from ignorant PC users (and yes ignorance it is, but there is nothing wrong with being ignorant. The German people first supported Hitler, and then realized he was a physco. Much like the American people supported Bush. Still 30% of Americans still support the tyrant. Oh well. Hopefully lessons learned).

The dig about $4000 computers is a jab at those dorks that say Macs cost so much money, and don't they play PC games. Yet these dolts, even though they are buying off the shelf components, end up spending big dough on these systems that run Doom 3 at 134 FPS. They water cool, they nenon-ize, they spend hundreds on graphic cards, and yet they could spend $399 on an Xbox 360 and still get a better gaming experience. What a bunch of dolts!

Computers are for real work, buy a console for games!!!!!

Oh, and PC's cost much more than Macs!

Thanks for clearing that up - I kind of misunderstood where you were coming from (or going to lol).
You see my point, though, that not all of us PC folk just play games
