it's meant for desktops/laptops that have 512ram that can't be (or the owners won't) upgrade

there's no noticeable difference on my comp, with a 2gb cruzer titanium, (15mb/s read, 9mb/s write)

i bought a 4GB Patriot xPorter XT that was Readyboot certified, but my system doesnt get a boost and neither does my laptop. they both have 2GB of ram so i guess thats that.

Its a cool feature for people who dont want to crack open their case.. just go out and spend $30, plug it in, set it up and bam! performance boost.
