Oh well, better track down the latest Autopatcher update before it all disappears. Great App though; MANY hours saved by using it.

Oh, ok. I guess acquiring a company to offer their product for free and with better integration is a bad thing? I don't really see how you have in any way supported the claim that you made.

Really, though, the only way you could support the blanket statement you made is to argue that copyrights, patents, and intellectual property are negligible factors when regarding the massive, ridiculously uncalled for inconvenience of having to reboot a computer twice instead of once. Feel free to keep trying, though.

Ways to create your very own semi-accurate news:
1. Randomly circle letters in a newspaper, then arrange them into sentences
2. Ask your kid about it while witholding half of the facts from him, then type up his response
3. Same as #2, but use someone else's kid
4. Troll forums and edit what some drunk guy's opinion is at two in the morning
5. Tattoo your entire body with random letters, then write down the letters every individual is pointing at when you walk by them. This method may be illegal in some locations.

Once Microsoft took over the definition updates, detection rates went down, false positives went up, and the program no longer worked on older versions of windows.

The betas had installation issues, and often people couldn't upgrade from version to version.

The amount of hassle turned many people off, and for several months nothing but complaints littered various download sites.

Oh no, I wouldn't argue that. I totally believe that rebooting is too much of a hassle, so never ever apply any updates.

Few links for autopatcher befor it dies out. im sure the links wont work for long so if you want it get it befor they are killed by greedy ms. Thats for xp 32bit if your looking for other copys goto the bittorrent site and copy the exe names used and search on find files or google. Seems perfectly legal to me hes doing nothing wrong but cutting down hassle for users even saving ms some money on bandwith.

I think we will see a different Autopatcher, but it's not completely dead. The main developer indicates such: The Next Day (What's In Store)
